Today
Today is a morning tv show that airs on NBC. The program debuted on January 14, 1952. It will be the fifth-longest running television series and at the world, and was the very first of its genre on American television. Originally a program on weekdays, it enlarged from 1992 to Sundays from Saturdays and 1987. The weekday broadcast enlarged to three hours in 2000, and to four hours in 2007.
The expectancy of today was virtually unchallenged by the other networks when ABC's Good Morning America overtook it. Today retook the Nielsen ratings guide the week of December 11, 1995, and held on that location for 852 successive weeks until the week of April 9, 2012, as it was beaten by Good Morning America just as before. In 2002, Today was ranked #17 Ever.
