The French Chef

The French Chef can be a tv cooking show hosted by Julia Child and created, also broadcast and produced from WGBH, the public television channel in Boston, Massachusetts, by February 1 1, 1963 to 1973. This was clearly one of those earliest cooking shows in tv. The show grew out of a few special presentations that Child did based on the book Mastering the Art of French Cooking, which she'd co-authored. The French Chef was created from 1963 to 1973 from WGBH for National Educational Television. Re-runs continued on Cooking Channel at 2010 on PBS before 1989, and currently air.
