Life on Mars
Life on Mars can be a science fiction crime drama tv show that aired on ABC from October 9, 2008 on April 1, 2009. It's an adaptation of the same name produced by the BBC's BAFTA-winning original UK series. The show was co-produced from Kudos Film & Television, 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Studios.
The show tells the story of New York City police detective Sam Tyler, that, after getting attacked by a car at 2008, regains consciousness in 1973. Fringing between genres, for example thriller, science fiction and police procedural, the show remained ambiguous about its plot, with the personality himself unsure concerning his situation. The show also starred Jonathan Murphy, Harvey Keitel, Michael Imperioli, and Gretchen Mol.
Life on Mars gained critical praise for acting, its assumption, and depiction of the 1970s but suffered after also a two-month hiatus and its premiere. ABC announced that it would not be ordering another season. A DVD collection of the series was released on September 29, 2009.
