Canadian Idol

Canadian Idol was a Canadian reality tv contest show which aired on CTV, based on the British show Pop Idol. Ben Mulroney was a contest to discover the most talented young singer in Canada, and hosted the show. Jon Dore was the"roving reporter" to the first 3 seasons. The role was assumed by elena Juatco for season four, Dave Kerr had Jully Black in season and the part in season-five. The show started with a cross-Canada tour in Jake Gold of Toronto which singers audition before four judges, Sass Jordan of Montreal, Quebec, Zack Werner of Winnipeg, Manitoba, along with Farley Flex of Ajax, Ontario. The actors were narrowed to 10 finalists, with each competitor acting. Viewers had two hours after the broadcast of the show to phone in their votes to their preferred competitor. The rival with the fewest votes had been shipped. After the ultimate two perform, audiences had more than two weeks . The next day, the rival having the most votes was declared the winner. The show was taped at the John Bassett Theatre in Toronto, Ontario.
