"Adam Goldstein was friend to a lot of the'90s L.A. party scene, where he threw himself to some newfound life as DJ AM. Overcoming several obstacles, including addictions and a familial relationship, DJ AM quickly climbed to the surface of the music industry. A leader of the mash-up movement, he eventually became among the DJs in the world. He remained haunted by the demons of his past. After death in a plane crash, a subsequent over-dose cause his death.
