Another Barrio

As if ripped from the current headlines coverage flames, evictions and street protests,"still another Barrio" tells the narrative of housing inspector Bob Morales as he explores the suspicious circumstances of a mortal fire. While investigating a residential hotel in the Latino Mission District of San Francisco, Morales finds himself face to face with the Sofia Nido, a gorgeous flame and corruption at City Hall in the past. Morales must also confront his or her own demons while investigating the crime and ultimately eventually ends up caught in a dangerous web of deceit, as he gets drawn into the seedy underworld of bribery, corruption and even murder. This independent Neo Noir feature film, based on a story by San Francisco Poet Laureate Alejandro Murguia, takes viewers deep into communities and areas while addressing issues across displacement and gentrification of non invasive communities on the way infrequently seen on picture.
