The Miracle Worker
A compelling account of Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan's journey to overcome seemingly insurmountable difficulties and their struggle to communicate. Helen Keller gets diagnosed with scarlet fever when she is a small girl. She becomes blind, deaf, and mute as a result of her sickness. Helen is cut off from the rest of the world, and she is unable to communicate with anyone. Helen's family is terrified of her violent rages and tantrums since she is frequently frustrated and needy. When Helen Keller's family seeks the assistance of the great teacher Annie Sullivan, she is able to break Helen Keller out of her internal prison and into the world. This helps to free Helen Keller from her internal prison for all time. The 1962 picture, which also starred Patty Duke in the character of Helen Keller, was adapted for television.
