Break Up
Jimmy is married to Frank, who is abusive, but she is saving money so she may leave. As a result of one of his beatings, she's been deaf for a year. He pushes her down the stairway one night, and she ends up in the hospital. The cops want to talk to her after a burnt body in her husband's car is found from a pond, but she rushes to her sister's, loses her savings pass-book, and then discovers her bank account has been drained. She flees the scene, with the same cops pursuing her, and soon realizes Frank isn't dead.
