Throughout a shootout at a saloon, a questionable stranger is injured by Sheriff Hunt. One of the villagers takes good care of him in prison. One evening they disappear -- only a cannibal tribe's spear is now found. Hunt and also a few of his men move seeking his nurse and the prisoner.
